We are currently working with a rapidly growing Vehicle manufacturer that designs and builds Electrical Commercial Vehicles and undertakes the modification of large fleets of vehicles on behalf of some of the UK's leading Logistics companies. With a significant international investment of £50 million recently received for expansion, the company are looking to enhance their technology team with an AWS Cloud Engineer .

As an AWS Cloud Engineer you will help the company expand into AWS through effective DevOps principles, Docker orchestration and automation. This includes making sure the organisations infrastructure and applications are running smoothly whilst using your operational skills to advance the company's platforms resilience.

Working closely with developers, test engineers and front line support teams you'll deliver high quality environments to meet the business needs. You'll have an opportunity to enhance your technical skills across a wide range of areas and pioneer new technology.

An interesting and diverse role the successful candidate will be able to diagnose and resolve platform problems, identify why a container is behaving badly in a heartbeat, and be able to collaborate with developers to resolve code versus infrastructure conflicts.

You'll have experience in AWS and have commercial experience of migrating applications to AWS with a focus on security in public and private cloud. You'll have demonstrable knowledge of Linux System administration in a complex environment.

A hands-on role and you won't ever be sat twiddling your thumbs. The company are looking for a curious engineer who wants to push forward, faster and smarter, never settling for second best and loves solving problems.

To be successful you must have /be all of the following:


* Architecture: Ubuntu, Docker and Serverless automation

* Message Queue: AMQP through RabbitMQ

* Database: MySQL on AWS RDS

* General: Python (for Devops)

* Ability to work autonomously

* Naturally collaborative and self-motivated

* Excellent problem solving skills

* Able to articulate ideas to team members.

* Excellent written skills for a wide variety of communications


* Working hours are 40 hours per week although as a new business there may be a requirement to work additional hours as required.

* £60K-£65K
