My client is a major national retail organization, and is one of the market leaders in their field. They are looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join their team who shares their passions in nurturing a business that is entering a promising new chapter!

The Role

The ideal candidate will be extremely organized with the skill of ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time. They will secure this by managing availability, OTIF and stock intake in line with budgeted stock-holding targets and promotional deadline dates. Among your other responsibilities will be:
  • Maximise sales and minimise markdown.
  • Management of both branded supplier order books and own label stock intake into the DC ensuring a proactive approach is taken to keep best-sellers in stock at all times and reduce stock holding on slow-selling lines.
  • Working with the Buying team to ensure ranges are financially commercial and rolled-up in line with the critical path deadlines.
  • Forecasts are produced and sent to suppliers and stock is delivered on time.
  • Responsibility for the management and development of one of the Allocators within the team.

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, you must have Merchandising experience within a Retail environment. You could have previously or currently be an Assistant Merchandiser ready for the next step, or an existing Junior Merchandiser/Merchandiser looking to move to a forward-thinking organisation.

The role requires you to work closely with the Merchandising and Buying teams as a whole. You would be marketing, Web, RMs, Stores, DC and Central Operations so good communication and organizational skills are an essential element to this role.
