Job description
HCL Doctors require a professional and experienced Occupation Health Medical Officer to work in the Belfast area.
This is a full time ongoing role and the successful candidate will be required to work Monday - Friday, as required for sessional work. Working hours are 09.00 - 17.00, as required however flexible working arrangements may be available.

What the role involves:
This is a post within the Occupational Health Service, providing a single professional HR service. You will work with committed professional and administrative colleagues, and play a key role in assisting with the delivery of occupational health services.
The main purpose of this post is to:
- provide medical advice in relation to fitness to drive, to the Driver and Vehicle Agency.
You may also be asked to:
- conduct medical examinations of employees referred to the Occupational Health Service by client bodies, including recruitment, fitness for post, health surveillance and sickness absence;
- provide medical advice, in relation to temporary injury award and permanent injury award applications made under the relevant pensions compensations schemes.

You will need:
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council, have a valid licence to practise medicine in the UK and provide evidence of compliance with revalidation and annual appraisal
  • At least five years' (post full registration or post entitlement to hold full registration) clinical experience, gained within the last eight years.
  • Two current references
  • Experience in Occupational Health is preferred.
