Purpose of the role
As a member of the Marketing Team you'll help to drive profitable growth in key customers through category analysis, insight and market understanding and support the development of category partnership within key accounts.

This role will play an integral part in identifying and maximising Avara business growth and profitability opportunities in line with key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • The creation and execution of category strategy and recommendations to customers.
  • Tracking, category snapshot (monthly market updates) on the poultry category, i.e. segmentation, size, growth.
  • Conducting market and category reviews with our key customers.
  • Creation of insight to drive the strategic direction of the accounts.
  • Providing relevant ad-hoc market data to internal and external customers.
  • Supporting NAM's via the provision of input and direction into customer Joint Business Plans.
  • Managing supplier relationships regarding data and research to budget.
  • Analysing and makibg recommendations internal and external across key areas covering shopper strategic planning, promotions, product, pricing & ranging/space management.
  • Tracking, via retail insight team what competitors are doing.
  • Create charters and project leadership for solution areas to deliver successful category initiatives.

What we are looking for?

  • Retail customer understanding.
  • Category Management insight and strategies (Pricing, Ranging, Merchandising).
  • Experience of shopper and consumer data (EPOS, Panel data).
  • Strong FMCG commercial experience - desirable.
  • Ability to develop recommendations that are commercially viable and actionable.
  • Ability to identify trends and patterns within market and shopper behaviour.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
