The Role:

Macildowie are excited to be partnering with a well-established business based in Shepshed who are recruiting for a Full-Time Sales Ledger Administrator on a permanent basis.

Working Hours: 44.5hrs per week Mon - Thurs 8am - 5.30pm Friday 8am - 5pm

Salary: Up to 23k

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the recovery of customer debts ensuring invoice payments are made on time
  • Process and distribute all customer invoices, including consignment stock
  • Daily preparation, allocation and reconciliation of the Trading Bank Account cashbook
  • Preparation and distribution of statements and customer status reports
  • Handle all customer invoice queries and raise all approved credit notes
  • Enforce stop ship status on customer accounts as and when required
  • Take custody of all held customer orders on stop until payment is received, and then release to the warehouse team.
  • Evaluate new credit requests and reviewing customer credit rankings
  • Ongoing liaison with sales team regarding customer performance, payments and queries
  • Cascade periodic reporting of debtor performance and Cash inflow forecasts to the senior leadership team
  • Process customer refunds for internet purchases
  • Provide customer PODs upon request
  • Shared responsibility with the Accounts Payable Administrator to handle incoming calls to the business

  • Experience of working in a Credit Control/Sales Ledger environment
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to effectively prioritise tasks
  • Great influential skills
  • Solid Team Working Skills
  • Ability to work to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
  • Intermediate Excel Skills (Ideally the ability to perform V-Look ups and Pivot Tables)
