Do you know what kids are up to online? Do you have ideas on how to inspire more people to become volunteers? Are you geeky enough to get excited about click through rates and conversions? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

What makes Girlguiding special?

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. We empower nearly half a million girls to be their best and face the challenges of growing up today. We've been doing that through adventure, friendship and fun for over 100 years - and all that is reflected in how we reach and engage a spectrum of audiences.

The role

We're launching a new organisational strategy next year and are developing our marketing and communications strategy to support it. We're looking for an experienced digital marketeer to support our bold new objectives with an engaging and effective digital marketing strategy.

You'll be part of our Digital team of 6, manage a Digital marketing officer and work closely with teams across the organisation. The job is varied, you'll create great content for girls and parents, support our existing volunteers and recruit new ones, sell more products and increase donations online.

You are passionate about providing great content and service to our customers across paid and organic social media, PPC, programmatic and email marketing.

We're looking for someone who's enthusiastic about data and knows how to use it to make things better. You know your way around Google Analytics and a Google Data Studio dashboard. You're confident at analysing data and you can explain what the numbers mean to someone who doesn't have a clue what a click through rate is.

Main areas of responsibility in a nutshell:
  • Social media strategy and management
  • Community support
  • Digital marketing strategy and campaigns
  • Measurement and tracking
  • Integration of digital into wider campaigns and strategy
  • Crisis communications on social

To join us, you'll need...
  • Brilliant communications skills and a very collaborative mind-set.
  • Excellent written communications, attention to detail and ability to manage different priorities and time.
  • A good dose of curiosity. You are always keen to find out what that 'new things' is that we need to consider in our digital marketing.

Girlguiding values the differences that a diverse workforce brings and is committed to inclusivity, and to employing and supporting a diverse workforce. Girlguiding is proud to be part of the Stonewall Diversity Champions programme, a member of the Business Disability Forum, and a member of Time to Change - improving attitudes towards mental health. While Girlguiding's young members may be girl only, our staff team is mixed gender. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability (physical or mental), gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
