Purchase Ledger Administrator - Support Office, Poole - £23k + Benefits

As the Purchase Ledger Administrator, you will have responsibility of ensuring the integrity of the Sage 200/ WAP purchase order control system - using WAP for the timely posting of purchase invoices and using Sage 200 to identify suppliers for payment.

In this role we would expect you to manage supplier invoices and ensuring all goods and services are authorised using WAP purchase order requisitions whilst also confirming goods and services receipt in WAP. The Purchase Ledger Administrator will liaise with Managers across the business to ensure all invoices are received in good time. You will undertake monthly supplier statement reconciliations, prepare payment runs for approval and ensure all transactions are posted to Sage 200 accurately and promptly.

The Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the role:
  • Highly motivated and able to work on your own as well as with and for others
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop
  • Previous experience of purchase ledger and using Sage 200 would be beneficial
  • Good Excel skills to present financial reports and accounts
  • IT literate and good ability to pick up new financial and other business systems
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Good analytical skills and be detail orientated
  • Be flexible - although based in the Poole Support Office there may be some occasional travel to our other sites in the East Sussex/Kent/Surrey areas. Therefore applicants must have a valid driving licence / own vehicle.
