Pre Sales Consultant for a major UK payment solutions provider

Up to £55,000 base plus £5,500 car allowance plus benefits and bonus/commission

To consult with potential and existing clients, understand their business requirements, and work with our Business Development Managers to create successful sales proposals around customer pain points and our identified sweet spot.. Consultants must be self-assured and be able to work as individuals when meeting with clients, as well as part of a successful sales team within the business. We offer payment management products into both the public and private sectors, and as such applicants should be comfortable operating in both environments with an emphasis towards private sector experience. This is a key role to stimulate interest and opportunities within the client's organisation, which should lead to a successful sale that is based upon the consultant's findings. Applicants should have an enquiring mind and constantly be on the look-out for opportunities within the client's organisation. Consultants must have the ability to communicate at all levels of the business, from users and up to the C-Suite. The Consultants role is that of a trusted expert, employed to project the professional services offered by us. We are the market leading payment management, ID & Fraud and PCI Compliance solutions within our value propositions

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meet with clients (existing and potential), understand their business processes and requirements, and identify opportunities for the sale of products and services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to create and present sales proposals (which are based upon your initial client interaction).
  • Eloquent and well versed in presenting, and demonstrating technical solutions to a range of users (technical and non) - in both the public and private sectors.
  • Maintaining CRM and/or other sales management tools in line with corporate policies, providing regular reports to sales management as required.
  • Provide feedback and insights from both clients and the marketplace with regard to features and functionality that are required.
  • Working under the guidance of the Director on strategic, complex sales opportunities.
  • Representing our payments business at clients premises, trade shows, industry events, conferences and seminars as required - specifically ensuring we are highly visible in all the of relevant industry bodies.
  • Being the subject matter expert for all product and services. Providing training, internally to sales personnel, and externally to clients and their staff.

Expectations Include:
  • Working in conjunction with other members of the sales team to optimise pipeline building activities.
  • Ensuring that the demonstration kit is always up-to-date in terms of the latest software versions and relevant messaging, and is fully operational.
  • Creation and maintenance of presentation material, including PowerPoint presentations, demo's, etc and ensuring that they are kept up to date and "fresh".
  • Adhere to expectations with respect to the use of CRM and other data management system, ensuring company information, contact data and notes from meetings are accurately recorded and the interests and potential business requirements are accurately documented such that the sales/marketing team can return full value from the data insight we build.
  • Meeting Capita plc internal governance processes.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • At least 3-years of experience with a payments business.
  • Ability to deliver high quality product presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Prepared to travel extensively throughout the UK.
  • Comfortable with the use of all "standard" Microsoft products.
  • 3+ years of field sales/support experience.
  • Can clearly articulate a benefits of products and services and tailor these benefits to individual client requirements.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Preferably with knowledge of the payments industry as a whole.
