We are currently recruiting for one the largest and fastest-growing logistics company in UK that are seeking to recruit an experienced Account Manager with a logistics/mail background to join them.
The role will be predominantly be based at the Kent site, based just outside of Maidstone, but with regular travel to clients in London
The rule will require you to be responsible for the retention and growth of a portfolio of key accounts across a number of business sectors. You will have a track record of developing strong partnerships with clients with a proven record of generating growth from existing accounts within the logistics sector, particularly mail, courier and same day.

Duties will include:
*Managing and retaining a portfolio of key clients
*Achieving a minimum YOY growth target of 10%
*Strategically engaging with all clients to ensure retention and growth across both existing and new services
*Ensure regular contact, both face to face and via the telephone with all clients - in line with agreed KPIs
*Completing regular reports detailing KPI and Management Information for specific clients
*Seeking and finding new business opportunities within your portfolio of accounts, upselling new services
*Completing monthly account management reports
*Ensuring all clients tariffs are up to date and we are achieving minimum agreed margins on each service
*Manually billing special account work

Key skills

*Must have account management experience gained from a similar environment - Essential
*Excellent knowledge of same day, courier and mail services
*Outstanding external and internal communication skills both written and verbal
*Be ambitious and confident
*Commercially minded and numerate
*Advanced Excel skills would be required but good general PC skills with MS packages
*Quick and eager learner
*Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
*Able to use your own initiative, make logical decisions and work independently
*Excellent attention to detail and a desire to get things right the first time
*Personable and polite
*Organised and the ability to prioritise tasks
*Process-driven and able to manage projects and tenders as required
*Good work history showing longevity and success in a similar role
