Are you a Constructor Tutor looking for a new challenge in a School in Cheadle?

Prosepero are currently looking for a hardworking, ambitious experienced Construction tutor to join a thriving SEN School in Cheadle Ofsted rated 'Good', starting September full-time on a long term temporary contract, working 5 days per week with the potential to go permanent.

The SEMH school is Ofsted rated "Good" with 40 pupils, the school caters for KS3 - KS4 pupils with a wide range or specific needs such as Social Emotional and Mental Health, ASD (Autism) and challenging behaviour. The School is easily accessible by public transport with a bus stop 5-minute walk away and free onsite parking with close links to the motorway.

As a Construction Tutor your job will be to teach and deliver Construction, such as Brickwork, Groundworks & Joinery to pupils across KS3 and KS4 by working with small groups of pupils to enhance their learning and academic development. Your role will involve supporting and teaching pupils with behaviour difficulties or permanently excluded from mainstream school and pupils who cannot attend mainstream school due to medical reason experience is not essential however a patient and determined character is needed.

The courses being delivered are Acentis L1 / BTEC L1 and L2

The ideal candidate will have experience both within the Construction industry ideally qualified to Level 3 and have experience in delivering either Plastering or Brickwork. They must have a recognised teaching qualification with a minimum of a PTLLS qualification.

We are looking for:

You must also have a passion for working with Secondary aged pupils and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. As per Department for Education (DfE) guidelines you will need to be able to provide full identification copies and reference details from the relevant experience you have previously gained in this or a similar setting.
