My client is a fast growing distribution company based in West London and are looking for an Accounts Assistant for 12 months to cover maternity.

Duties Include:
  • Maintain accounts documentation and filing correctly for storing/archiving. File invoices paid for each
  • payment run.
  • Post: Open incoming mail and distribute to business. Frank and deliver outgoing post to post office.
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and monitoring open goods receipt list.
  • supplier invoices / credit notes (service/item) on SAP.
  • Posting customer receipts on SAP.
  • Request and reconcile supplier statements monthly and handle supplier queries as required.
  • Emailing remittance advices and statements as required and/or requested.
  • Processing cheques received - copying and entering in deposit book.
  • Petty cash: Managing daily and reconciling weekly.
  • Accounts receivable credit notes: Creating service credit notes and printing item credit notes.
  • Liaisingwith other departments to resolve any credit note queries daily.
  • Completing Growth Matrix monthly.
  • Assisting with Bank Reconciliations, including foreign currency accounts.
  • Other duties as delegated from time by the management accountant or any other person designated in

Requirements:
  • A mimimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team Player
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
