This is a hands-on, customer focused role to provide field support and visit customers when there are Quality Assurance issues, concerns or queries whilst also liaising and supporting suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors and internal staff.

My client is a growing electonics design and manufacturing business in Surrey.

Description

The Quality Assurance Manager will have the following responsibilities:
  • Manage Company's ISO 9001 system.
  • Develop & report upon key performance indicators cornering quality outgoing from the Company and within manufacturing departments.
  • Report internally & externally on quality issues.
  • Drive document control systems.
  • Assess the outoing quality of products.
  • Ensure compliance of all manufacturing to relevant legislation.
  • Provide direct reporting to suppliers on their compliance to our requirements & standards.
  • Monitor & advise in-house and directly on purchased components and sub-contracted work.
  • Provide the Purchasing team with support on quality issues.
  • Drive & develop the after-sales support function.
  • Provide customer service and support on quality issues.
  • Continually analyse & drive our improvement programmes to achieve top class quality standards.
  • Assist with environmental legislation such as WEEE.

Profile
  • Qualification in further / higher education in a relevant eningeering or manufacturing field.
  • Excellent understanding of quality philosophies within manufacturing, ideally electronics.
  • Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Knowldge in developing a Poka Yoke culture.
  • Practical, hands on management style, able to lead & coach.
  • Methodical approach / way of thinking, as well as being able to think strategically.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use different programs.
  • Knowledge using a MRP system.

Job Offer

£45,000 - £50,000 + benefits
