We are working with the world's leading authority on commercial and Research & Development (R&D) information for the pharmaceutical industry!

They provide real time intelligence featuring an unmatched data collection of global clinical trials, drug development pipelines, epidemiology data, sales and much more!

This is a huge opportunity for an Analytics Analyst to work with industry leading datasets to provide new and meaningful analytics directly to pharmaceutical and professional service customers.

The successful Analytics Analyst will be reporting into the Head of Data Analytics and work alongside other members of the Data Analytics and Engineering teams to further drive analytics R&D and innovation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Work with Innovation and Product Management teams to address key customer lead problems with development of innovative analytics solutions that can be implemented in our products
  • Propose new analytics concepts and develop proof of concepts for product management team to gain customer validation before progressing to full product development
  • Explore and apply predictive modelling and machine learning techniques to internal and new data sets to advance the product portfolio
  • Use advanced data mining techniques and machine learning to extract maximum value from structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Responsibilities extend to identifying and selecting any new analytic tools required to support new analytics innovation.
  • Work with Data Engineers to guide data manipulation, alignment, and linking of all data sets to drive analytics.
  • Work alongside the Data Engineer team to identify new data assets that can support and enhance data and analytics offering.

Key skills:
  • Experience building data models
  • Experience with advanced analytics techniques
  • A good understanding data visualisation techniques and principles (experience building visual analytics is preferable).
  • Domain expertise Bio pharmaceutical/drug development experience is much preferred
  • Experience with data analytics software and programming languages Python, R, Alteryx and Tableu
  • Bachelors/Masters/PhD - strong academic track record
