City & Capital Headhunters are currently representing a highly respected chartered independent financial advisory firm who have retained our services in order to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified Paraplanner to their growing team. With offices throughout the UK our client is achieving excellent growth, with exciting plans to follow.

Within the role you will be expected to work closely with the organisations high performing team of Advisers & Executives to deliver the most efficient and effective client service results, with a high focus on quality and accuracy. To do this you will analyse client circumstances, portfolio's and objectives with a view to preparing appropriate recommendation reports for the Advisers.

In additon, the Paraplanner role will require you to provide high quality technical, administrative & research support, undertaking whole of market searches & reviews in respect of pensions, investments and protection plans, as well as in regards to asset allocation within existing client portfolio's and quantifying existing investments.

As with most Paraplanner roles, this is an integral role that is a real fulcrum within the business. You will work closely with key stakeholders internally and externally, to include (but not be limited to) the regulatory & compliance function and the in-house technical team, as well as third party providers, clients and relevant client connections.

The ideal individual wil be extermely strong when prioritising and managing a busy workload and an excellent communicator at all levels. You will be both comfortable and confident in attending meetings with clients alongside advisers where required and managing key relationships and activity with product or service providers.

The ability to produce comprehensive, accurate & clear recommendation reports is essential, as is experience of analysing clients circumstances and objectives in order to provide suitable holistic financial plans and advice. This will be complemented by proficiency within complex report writing, a CII Diploma in Financial Planning (Min qualification required), excellent english and maths skills and experience within the financial advisory or wealth management space.

You will be able to work from our client's offices in Leeds & will be expected to:
  • Service existing clients
  • Identify and on-board new relationships/commercial opportunities via business development
  • Keep on top of market news and legislation to maximise on opportunities for growth
  • Attain and maintain competent adviser status

Quantifiable skills & experience of the ideal individual include:
  • Level 4 qualification or above, willingness to work towards chartered status (if required) within role
  • Compliance focussed
  • Commercially minded, astute and excellent networking skills
  • Highly organised & confident in managing own diary/pipeline to time manage key requirements accordingly
  • Empathetic and relationship focussed - quick to understand the needs of the consumer
