Backend Python Developer (AWS, Django, NoSQL)

An exciting and fascinating role working at the forefront of location technologies. This role will be focused on the design and production of a major cloud-based platform that will be used across many different sectors. This well backed company have continued their rapid growth and are now looking to expand their R&D team.
They use a fantastically modern tech stack including technologies like Python, Django, AWS, AngularJS and MongoDB.

Summary:

This role is working with one of the most exciting software companies in the UK- creating the next generation of applications for location services, used by different sectors all over the world.

This innovative company are searching for a highly skilled developer who is wanting a challenging new role in a fast moving and continuously growing business.

Role and Responsibilities:

·Work on the creation and development of the core cloud-based application
·Write unit tests and deliver fantastic, robust, clean code
·Work with other departments to resolve any issues with the existing software

Skills Required:

·Advanced skills in object oriented software engineering: with strong skills in Python development
·Significant experience in working in an Agile environment is required for the role: the company are very positive about Continuous Delivery, User Acceptance Testing and TDD
·Experience with cloud platform development, ideally AWS
·Solid experience with web frameworks, a preference would be with Django
·At least 2 years' experience with NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB
·Excellent experience working in an Agile environment (including experience of TDD and testing automation as well as Continuous Integration & Delivery)
·An excellent academic track record with a BSc minimum (2.1 or above) in a computing, scientific, mathematical or engineering discipline. MScs and PhDs preferred.
·Strong communication skills

Salary:
£50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience) + an excellent benefits package
