I am currently looking for an experienced SEN Support Assistant to join a primary school based in Blackburn.

Job Type: Full time

Rate of pay: £9.50 - £11.50 per hour

Start date: September 2019

End date: December 2019 (Further opportunities within school)

The role:

Due to a gap in staffing, this particular role will be starting in September 2019 until December 2019 with the potential to be extended further. You would be working on a full time basis (Monday-Friday) and I am looking for someone who is confident is supporting children from Year 1 - Year 6 as you'll be working with a variety of children. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you would be focusing on not only providing additional aid in lessons but also at working to ensure that pupils can become independent and confident. The school are looking for someone with a background in SEN in particular working with children with Autism. This is a fantastic position for someone who is looking to support children with additional needs.

The school:

The primary school is situated in the centre of Blackburn and is a two form entry school. The school has a supportive and long standing SLT that provide CPD through the academic year for their staff. Due to the needs of the children, the successful SEN TA would be providing emotional and social support to pupils to ensure they feel safe around the school. The school are keen to secure the correct candidate for September as there may be opportunities for the Support Assistant to further their career within the school.
