Pertemps Specialist Division are delighted to be working in collaboration with one of our public sector clients to recruit an Information Risk Manager on an initial 6 month contract. Based in central Edinburgh, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Information Risk Management to support the Census Information Asset Owner as part of the Security and Privacy team. You work closely with Census Programme Management team, alongside supporting the development of the Census Risk Manager to help support a high performing Risk Management function within the programme.

This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, and will attract a daily rate of between £150 - £250.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on ensuring that information risk management is embedded into the planning and delivery of projects and other census activities.
  • Provide specialist information risk advice and act as a contact and escalation point including the analysis and modelling of information and privacy risks.
  • Provided the Information Asset owner with comprehensive information on Information Risks and the confidence that they are being managed appropriately.
  • Lead on the development Information Risk guidance across the programme in line with best practice and statutory requirements
  • Provide practical support to help ensure Information Risk is appropriately represented and understood across the programme..

Essential Criteria:
  • Extensive experience of working with Information Risk, risk analysis, operating risk management processes and tools, and knowledge of relevant information security management system standards (eg ISO27000 family).
  • Experience of Attack Tree risk assessment is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills with proven experience of building and managing relationships with both business and technical colleagues
  • Ability to collate and analyse complex information to draw out recommendations or key messages and inform decision making
