Independent food manufacture in north Leicestershire require an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer. This is a genuinely great opportunity to join a profitable, stable and growing business who continue to invest heavily in their brand, site and people.

  • Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer
  • Continental shifts, 4 on 4 off, days and nights
  • Opportunity to work in with a modern food process manufacturer
  • Will suit engineers who live in Melton Mowbray, north Leicestershire or east of Nottingham area

  • Salary of c£40k
  • Private Health care
  • Company and individual bonus schemes (subject to targets)

Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:
  • Ensure that high quality production output is achieved through effective maintenance.
  • Apply preventative maintenance to ensure a high-level organisation and flexibility with minimal

  • Monitor processes and equipment, report variances and take corrective and remedial action when necessary.
  • Communicate systems, machinery or process malfunctions to relevant person/s or departments
  • Respond to unplanned maintenance breakdown events.
  • Complete engineering project work as required for installation and modifications to equipment and processes.

Experience and skills required:
  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
  • Multi skilled, mechanical and electrical skills / experience. (ideally electrically biased)
  • Apprenticeship trained.
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production.
  • Food manufacturing experience would be very advantageous.
