This role is key to continuing smooth and efficient project delivery and supporting the larger business in their growth. You will be expected to have ownership of the whole procurement cycle with meticulous attention to detail and communication as you liaise with key vendors, suppliers and technical resources internally.

Reporting to the Head of Product, your proven track record of managing quotes, purchase order and supplier relationships to achieve the best price for the business as well as developing lean process around these.

You will be responsible for devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies, discovering profitable suppliers and will be required to initiate procurement partnerships via informal tender
You will also be negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms, understanding how the systems of each vendor can be optimised to achieve best advantage

You will have a solid awareness of the technology landscape and the importance of proper process, ITIL awareness is desirable.

There is scope for a greater or lesser level of technical ability in the role. However, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of capability in the majority of the activities below:
• Supporting the organisation with procurement needs for highly efficient project delivery
• Administering the product catalogue, creating and auditing product items
• Continued efficiency analysis of the complete supply chain
• Control the administration of internal systems, including purchasing of hardware and software from ideal vendors when instructed by scheduled task
• Control of stock availability, license reviews and adjustments in partnership with other departments
• Liaising and maintaining relationships with vendors to keep hardware software resale prices competitive
• Understanding of major manufacturers licensing methods and requirements to ensure compliance for customers
• Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
• Examine and test existing contracts
• Track and report key functional metrics (KPI) to reduce expenditure and improve effectiveness
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Responsible for planning around alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
• Keep the business informed of unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs and ongoing cost of sale

Key experience & skills required
• Proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer or head of procurement
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market
• Talent in negotiations and networking
• Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven experience in an administrative, co-ordination or similar roll
• Logic problem solving and analytical skills
• Basic technical understanding of technology systems (hardware/software), hosting, networks etc.
• A desire and excitement to learn and understand a vast array of business types, requirements and technologies
• Ability to interpret technical BoMs
• Maintain an update central picking list for Pre-Sales/Sales of common items

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VBA)
• BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
