CDS Recruitment Limited are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer on a permanent basis. Salary negotiable depending upon experience. The main purpose of the role is to oversee and maintain the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 3834 and EN 1090 standards
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm

" Maintain and update Factory Control/Quality Manual
" Keeping up to date with Regulation
" Exploring new Standards with the possibility of achieving and running
" Audit of system
" Flow charts
" Procedures
" Form templates
" BSI Visits (audit of system)
" TWI Visits (audit of system)
" Supplier assessments log
" Vendor database and questionnaires
" Welder audits
" Attend and record management reviews
" Updating/maintaining 'temperature logs' for welding wire.

Maintain welder qualifications and procedures:
" Writing new procedures which will include completing the correct documentation for certification
" Putting employees through testing and completing the welder qualifications for certification
" Sending away test pieces for testing
" Liaising with third parties
" Keep database of welder qualifications up to date

Complete documentation packages:
" ITP (Inspection and Test Plan)
" Raising TQs (Technical Queries)
" Arranging Inspections/Hold Points with clients and collecting reports for signature
" Review of calculations
" Arranging MPI/NDT/X-Ray etc and collating reports
" Collating material certificates/CoCs using Sage reports
" Material Traceability
" Dimensional reports (pre/post)
" Collating coatings reports (painting/galv)
" Reading drawings issued and collating
" Issuing a certificate of conformity
" Dealing with any queries relating to the documentation
" Updating quotation log with documentation status
" Weld maps
You will also be responsible for the creation, maintenance and updating of client tracker databases where appropriate. This includes forecasting of deadlines for manufacture, inspection, delivery etc.

Other tasks including;
" Ensuring monthly welder checks are carried out
" Assisting in in-house testing i.e. MPI, pressure testing (air & water)
" Assisting Engineers and Workshop Manager/Supervisors by way of confirmation of weld procedures and qualifications, specifications of projects etc.
" Maintenance/updating of GDPR Policy and records
