Our client is looking for a dynamic and proactive Ecommerce Specialist to join a growing business based in Poole.

The Role:

Working across a number of brands you will manage the ecommerce as part of a close knit team. This role is specifically focused on merchandising of products on a number of websites including Amazon and eBay. You need to be digitally proficient and have excellent copywriting ability, with experience of working in a Marketing role/sales administration with an ecommerce base. The successful candidate will have robust experience of working on ecommerce platforms including Amazon, be confident and engaging, have a strong bias for action and be self-motivated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, building standard and custom content for ecommerce websites
  • Product merchandising including creative copy writing for a vast range of products
  • Creating product and category content data based on a category tree/site map, processing it into Excel and importing into an ecommerce website.
  • Ensure all product information is accurately inputted onto the Amazon/eBay and other platforms.
  • Manage the Amazon transactions to ensure correct despatch of goods.
  • Be Involved with any product launches and updates, adding products and proofing
  • Maintaining product database on a number of websites
  • Editing images for websites, ensuring all products online have images, updating and amending old images
  • Assisting with amendments of pricing for new products and maintaining pricing on existing products
  • Regular pricing and website competitor analysis of market competition
  • Producing product reports and analytics to monitor product performance
  • Liaising with Online Trading and Web Development in building / testing custom product functionality
  • Gathering/proofing marketing collateral as required
  • Assisting the rest of the business development team when required during busy periods

Person Specification:
  • At least 1 year of experience working and managing e-commerce processes for B2B companies
  • Experience of building and launching ecommerce sites from scratch desirable
  • Excellent computer literacy, including databases and excel
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (essential) with high attention to detail
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Proof reading experience desirable
  • Hard-working and results-driven
  • Able to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
  • Flexible and enthusiastic, with the ability to work well under pressure
