Project Manager - 1 year fixed term contract with possible extension dependent on funding

Responsible to: CEO

Hours: Part time - 15 hours per week (spread over 3 or 4 days, hours to be agreed)

Salary band: £11,200 - £12,000 p.a. (FTE 28,000 - £30,000)

Location: Office based

Purpose of the role:

The Project Manager will manage existing and new curriculum and professional development projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Ensure contract requirements across all projects are regularly reviewed and targets met. This will include:

* Co-ordinating resource development and writing reports for funders on project progress

* Co-ordinating recruitment of the required number of schools/delegates/organisations dependent on project requirements

* Coordinating and attending project management meetings, taking notes and ensuring follow up of actions

* Uploading resources and maintaining up to date information on the Association's website where applicable

* Arrange evaluation of project

* Promote the Association's range of services to those involved in the project, particularly schools and funders, wherever appropriate

* Communicate regularly with contractors and project funders to update them on progress and changes and ensure funders' expectations are met

* Support consultants to ensure participating schools' expectations are met (where applicable)

* Manage project-related income and expenditure ensuring these stay within budget

* Maintain good working relationship with the funders, and contractors

* Write content to promote projects and liaise with Marketing & Events Manager on marketing and communications plans

* To carry out any other tasks as and when required.

Qualifications

* Education to Level 3 (A Level).

Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Attributes

* Track record of managing projects (in education desirable)

* Microsoft Office skills (intermediate)

* Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

* Attention to detail

* Team player
