Qualified Trainer / Assessor - Health and Social Care Levels 2, 3 and 5 - Peterborough Area - £-negotiable

We are pleased to be recruiting for Steadfast Vocational Training, a national training provider that delivers first class skills, employability and training solutions.

From their Head Office in Lincolnshire, their training services cover the North East, East of England, East Midlands and Greater London.

We are looking for a qualified Field Based Trainer / Assessor in Health and Social Care to join our client's expanding team in the Peterborough area.

In a nutshell:

You will deliver work-based qualifications (frameworks) to learners within their workplaces, to maintain a high quality of delivery within timescales and ensure that all learners are successful in their learning programmes by their planned end dates.

You will support apprenticeship learners who are studying Levels 2, 3 and 5 in Health and Social Care.

Key responsibilities as the Trainer / Assessor (Health and Social Care) will include:
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed performance targets set for the role
  • Planning and agreeing the learning and assessment process with learners and their sponsoring employers - ensuring that each understands their own responsibilities in the successful completion of the programmes
  • Providing learners with all the relevant policies and regulations
  • Motivating and supporting individual learners in the own workplaces, according to their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to enable successful achievement of training programmes within agreed timescales
  • Ensuring regular and effective assessment of learners according to the national standards and regulations laid down by OFQUAL and the awarding bodies
  • Providing regular updates on learners' progress and maintain good relationships with their line managers
  • Upholding and promoting Steadfast's ethos regarding safeguarding the welfare of learners
  • Accurately complete progress reviews and all required documentation
  • Satisfy all required standards in the delivery and documentation of the contracts (efficiency, quality and compliance)
  • Attending meetings
  • Meeting with Line Manager on a monthly basis
  • Undertaking regular continuous professional development (CPD) and attending staff training

What we're looking for:
  • Assessors Qualification - D32, D33, A1 or TAQA
  • A recognised Teaching Qualification - PTLLS or above
  • Health and Social Care experience, qualification at level 3
  • Clinical Qualification or equivalent to Level 3 (advantageous)
  • A General Nursing background (desirable)
  • Key skills qualifications in English and Maths - or willingness to work towards them
  • Strong ability, and understanding, of delivering apprenticeship programmes
  • Good understanding of Clinical Environments, Health and Safety, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Safeguarding and Prevent
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own transport (company vehicle can be provided after probationary period)
  • Flexibility to travel - regular visits to learners workplaces and other venues as required
  • Flexible approach to working hours (approx 40/week)
