Our client a leader within their field, are looking for a Technical Support Manager for their offices in Derby. This is an exciting time for the Company, with steady growth predicted over the next 5 years, so looking to expand the Derby office with a Technical Support Manager.

Our client is looking for a candidate to fill a Technical Support Manager vacancy where the ideal candidate will be a good communicator as the role involves the link between technical design and production for released house types as well as the site team for installation related concerns. A logical and methodical approach to workload is necessary as the Technical Support Manager acts as the technical authority and manufacturing/site interface until handover ensuring reliable technical support for production and site installation. The role involves working in both a standalone capacity as well as being part of an extended team, reporting to the Head of Delivery.

Technical Support Manager Position Overview
  • Abiding to Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Systems
  • Maintaining compliance with obtained product accreditations (BOPAS) and product/system certifications
  • Acting as the main technical authority for Engineering Change Requests
  • Raising, investigating and acting on non-conformances allocated to the technical department in the factory and on site
  • Managing and advising on corrections and corrective actions so that the team are aware
  • Being the technical authority for site and factory concessions where requirements cannot be met
  • As the technical authority, ensure any corrections performed on site are adequately closed out and acceptable in line with the product requirements and accreditation scheme

Technical Support Manager Position Requirements
  • Possess a good understanding of change management in a design, manufacturing & construction setting
  • Possess a good understanding on non- conformity and how to deal with this
  • Experience of working with external parties i.e. Building control, Electrical contractors
  • Be confident in understanding technical drawings as well as technical specifications & regulations
  • Good experience of offsite and / or timber frame production
  • Experience of the house building sector
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of AutoCAD

Technical Support Manager Position Remuneration
  • £45,000 to £55,000
