Our client who are well known brand requires a Finance Manager to support the Senior Financial Controller. This role also offers fantastic career progression opportunities

Personal Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of and have a strong understanding of all roles within the Cashiers, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Departments ensuring robust controls and processes.
  • Full preparation of management accounts, balance sheets and strong knowledge on accruals and prepayments
  • Lead all aspects of future strategy for the department in relation to process improvements. Eg - purchase to pay system
  • Identify value added processes and areas of cost reduction, focus on results to make an impact on the business.
  • Manage the relationship with our merchant acquiring provider, our cash collection provider and our banks.
  • Preparation of daily cash flows.
  • Ensuring all statutory compliance in relation to UK GAAP
  • Oversee the preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with external auditors and supporting the statutory audit process
  • Monthly management accounts to include full P&Ls, Balance sheet and Cash flows (Monthly Board packs).
  • Management and analysis of rent, rates, service charge, insurance, depreciation.
  • Management of the Fixed Assets Register (additions, disposals, depreciation)

Team Responsibilities - Develop, motivate and retain a team of six people.
  • To communicate with team in areas such as 1:1's, IDPs & Reviews.
  • Help to build a World Class finance function.
  • Accounts Payable - Ensure suppliers are paid on time and creditor balance is managed in line with Senior Management Expectations.
  • Manage setup and payment of supplier invoices.
  • Work with budget holders to ensure all invoices are received and correctly accounted for.
  • Accounts Receivable -
  • Ensure accuracy of periodic invoicing to tenants and any additional income.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP:
  • Leading a team of 6 people

KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Qualified accountant with experience in a commercial organization.
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 or a similar accounting system.
  • PC literate, strong Excel skills & experience of Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Customer focused with a commercial outlook.
  • Analytical thinker.
