Digital Marketing Executive



This newly created role supports the development of specific Digital Marketing based initiatives in conjunction with senior marketing personnel to achieve both long and short term agreed business goals, as per overall strategic marketing plan. Manage specific digital marketing activities under the guidance of senior marketing personnel. The successful candidate will be proficient in multi-channel digital marketing and have experience of managing projects from start to finish.

  • To develop and maintain the digital presence of our client and their product portfolio, across both prescription and direct to consumer brands.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing digital / web performance reports
  • Develop and deliver against media plans in line with strategic objectives
  • Assist in the development of robust tactical plans with support as required from senior marketing / sales personnel; this will involve presenting to, and training of, company sales teams.
  • Drive and create the production of product specific activities and content under the guidance of senior marketing personnel. This to include:
    • Liaison with colleagues in Sales, Marketing and Medical teams
    • Liaison and direction of creative agencies where applicable
    • Creation of clear written briefs for both company and agency use
    • Adherence to the SOP based sign off procedure
    • Quality checks re: data, in respect of product claims
  • Monitor and critically review implementation of digital activities/initiatives against key performance indicators and propose corrective action as necessary.
  • Monitor and control delegated digital budgets.
  • Proactively maintain a high level of knowledge regarding UK marketplace and therapy area(s).
  • Ensure that plans and activities comply with company standards and contribute to the monitoring of compliance with such codes across the business.

Experience and Personal Attributes
  • Degree level education preferably in life science or marketing
  • Paid digital marketing campaigns
  • Development and management of media plans
  • Experience working across all social media platforms
  • Website development / e-commerce
  • Content conceptualisation and creation
  • Working with third party agencies
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management
  • Ability to effectively communicate to large groups of sales personnel both directly and in writing
  • High levels of numeracy and written skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and multitask
  • Thrives under pressure and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and not afraid to suggest new ideas or approaches
