This is an exciting opportunity to join the Home Bargains Training Department. The department plays an important role in developing the next generation of Home Bargains Store Management. As one of the country's fastest growing retailers it is important that the best management are in place to help lead the company forward.

As a member of the Home Bargains Training Department your role will be to help nurture and develop new and existing Home Bargains Store Management. You will need to have a positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and take pride in developing managers' skills and knowledge in order to help them develop their own careers with Home Bargains.

This is a position for an experienced Trainer with a passion for retail. The role will be partly classroom based but the successful candidate will also spend time providing practical training within the shop floor environment.

The success of the department relies on creativity, enthusiasm and passion for the company as well as an appetite for new information and a challenging environment.

Your main place of work is Axis National Training Centre, although you will be required to visit various Home Bargains Stores as required.

Main responsibilities
  • Teaching Company policies, procedures, functions and initiatives within as part of the Store Management Programme
  • Supporting Training Store Management in their continuous assessments and evaluations and helping them achieve expected standards
  • Holding regular feedback sessions with Management Trainees
  • Attending regular meetings with Training team to feedback any issues
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and practices

  • Computer literate; Word; Excel; PowerPoint
  • Experience in training or teaching
