Are you currently an experienced Head of Service Transition? Or perhaps you've been working within a Senior Service role (Service and Transition Manager for example) and looking for the next step up? I am partnering with a multi-million pound turnover I.T Services and solutions company based in Chorley whom have grrown immensely over the last 5 years. We are searching for a Head of Service and Transition ideally with a background of successfully delivering IT services (with change and release management) in to SME environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the first person within this newly created role. It will offer you the chance to bring in new ideas, ways of doing things, new and improved processes, and really help make a difference to the transition of IT & application services in to new and existing clients.

As the Head of Service Transition, you'll have overall responsibility for ensuring high quality delivery of new services, and service enhancements in to live operational environments. You'll take ownership of change and release management functions, and you'll be responsible for the ongoing development and direction of the service transition, application monitoring and deployment processes.

Naturally you'll be pretty clued up with ITIL principles, and ideally ITIL certified. We are looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial mind set. This isn't a role where you're stepping in to someone else's shoes who is moving on, and everything is already mapped out. You are going to be the first person within this role, so we need someone who isn't afraid of a challenge, and be able to take a look at existing processes, see why they might not be as effective and efficient as they could be, and then put together a plan to make things right!
