Young Adult Carers Project Manager

Salary: £25, 714 for 30 hours per week

Fixed term until June 2021

Redbridge Carers Support Service (RCSS) is a leading charity working in partnership with others to provide a range of person centred, responsive services for unpaid carers within the London Borough of Redbridge.

RCSS is looking for a dynamic individual to manage our exciting Young Adult Carers Project. The project is designed to raise awareness of the needs, aspirations and goals of young adult carers aged 17 to 30 years and ensure young adult carers in Redbridge are identified and supported. The post holder will work closely with young adult carers to produce person centred development plans, covering issues identified by young adult carers themselves and ensuring they are supported through the next stages of their lives.

As Project Manager you will take a lead role in identifying and delivering the project outcomes, to meet the training, emotional, social, wellbeing and practical needs of young adult carers in Redbridge. You will develop a range of peer activities and learning opportunities. Working with partner agencies, including the young carers service, social care, education and health services, to develop robust communication and engagement strategies and practical action plans, leading to new and improved pathways to care and support.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with young adult carers and services to transform the lives of young adult carers and their families. You will be passionate about effecting real change for young adult carers, trustworthy, with excellent communication skills and an understanding and empathy for the barriers facing young adult carers.

Successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check
