We are now looking for a Retail & Café Manager to join our team and support our retail activities in Basildon Hospital and Southend Hospital.

The Role

As the Retail & Café Manager, you'll oversee our retail outlets and on-ward retail trolleys at Basildon Hospital and Southend Hospital.

Specifically, you'll manage three shops and one on-ward trolley service at Basildon Hospital, and one on-ward refreshment trolley service at Southend Hospital.

Ensuring that customers receive a high-quality service, you will:

- Recruit, train and supervise staff and volunteers
- Create and manage rotas
- Foster a positive environment for your team and customers
- Complete tasks in-line with our procedures, including stock management and pricing
- Identify ways to further improve our service

About You

To join us as our Retail & Café Manager, you will need:

- Experience in retail or catering management, overseeing retail outlets or sites with similar customer flow and turnover
- A track record of setting and maintaining critical standards in safety and hygiene
- Experience of using an EPOS system and other back-office reporting systems
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and other software
- An understanding of what good customer service and retail operating systems look like and how to implement and maintain these in a retail and catering environment
- A food hygiene qualification
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

We'd love to hear from you if you've worked as a Retail & Café Manager, Retail Manager, Catering Manager, Retail Team Manager, Catering Team Manager, Retail Supervisor, Retail Team Leader, Catering Supervisor, Shop Manager or Store Manager.

This is a full time role, working 35 hours per week, primarily Monday - Friday.
