Langley Search & Interim is working with a client in the Bristol/South Wales area that seeks an Interim Manager to lead a programme of category management development with their Procurement & Supply Chain Team.

Ideally you will have the following:
  • Experience of developing and implementing a training programme on the Category Management Process, coaching & developing the team in category management and identifying competency gaps and development plans.
  • Experience and gravitas to influence the key stakeholders in the business
  • Demonstrable senior experience in managing complex transactions, ideally with some experience of working in a PSR environment, including the full 360 degree process including negotiation, contract drafting and fulfilment,the management of contract variations & post contract supplier management
  • Experience of managing directs and indirects categories with a focus on delivering savings and other added value benefits.
  • Experience of working in the private and public sectors would be advantageous. Working within a manufacturing environment would be useful where the supply chain and procurement were fully integrated.
  • Ideally MCIPS qualified and perhaps with a consulting background
