Commercial Finance Analyst - Opus Energy

£35,000-£45,000 DOE + Group Performance Bonus & Benefits

If you answered YES, we're looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team based in Northampton!

In this role, your key purpose will be to provide financial analysis that will support the development and delivery of management reporting, financial business plans, new products, services & change programmes.

Specific responsibilities will include;

* Providing analysis of monthly results to enable our management to understand business performance, risks and opportunities and areas of under/ over performance.
* Providing analytical support for customer bids, product development, supplier tenders, investments and business change initiatives.
* Provide analysis to support the on-going financial planning processes identify and testing appropriate assumptions.
* Working with the Accounting & FPA teams to ensure delivery of timely information on financial performance, risks and opportunities

What background do you need to succeed?

The ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified and will have gained a year's post qualified experience. Experience in a commercial role within a PLC environment and/or the utilities sector would be advantageous and will have allowed you to develop the commercial awareness required for the role. Due to the nature of the role, you will be proficient in the use of Excel and Business Intelligence tools, allowing you to deliver in this role.

A creative and innovative individual, you'll be happy providing new solutions to streamline processes and will be happy questioning traditional assumptions in order to increase reporting effectiveness. This role will give you the opportunity to work collaboratively with stakeholders across both the finance team and wider business, therefore you'll be confident presenting to and influencing a variety of individuals in order to progress changes in ways of working.
