Senior Finance Analyst- Technology, Transformation & Projects - Drax Customer

£50,000-£60,000 DOE + Group Performance Bonus & Benefits

If you answered YES, we're looking for a Senior Finance Analyst that will focus on Technology & Transformation projects to join our team based in Northampton!
In this role, your key purpose will be to provide effective financial support to our Customer IT Leadership team and the Transformation and Change teams. You'll be involved in designing, building, coordinating and consolidating all forecasting, initiative tracking, and reporting required for the areas to deliver the support required. The role will also provide the opportunity to manage Analysts and ensure they are developing in their careers.

Specific responsibilities within the role include;

* Production of regular, timely and accurate management reports highlighting variance to target and trends, based around key drivers.
* Delivery of business and financial plans, driving management to focus on key issues and initiatives.
* Providing decision support through analysis and investment appraisals, evaluating capital and revenue expenditure proposals to ensure full value is gained and risks are mitigated.
* Developing and ensuring robust financial control systems are consistently adhered to and maintained.

What background do you need to succeed?

The ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified and will have gained considerable experience in a commercial role since achieving qualified status. Experience working alongside business transformation project teams and an interest in emerging technology would also be advantageous and allow you to build rapport with your stakeholders.
With strong commercial acumen, you'll be able to translate the impact of decisions into costs, profits, markets and added value in order to present information to your stakeholders allowing them to make informed decisions.

You'll be able to approach this role with a creative mindset, questioning existing processes and combining this with your problem-solving skills to give informed recommendations to your stakeholders. As you'll be line-managing a small number of Analysts, we'll look to you to inspire and motivate them in their careers, therefore an interest in personal development and management will be key to this role.
