Private Client Adviser (Pensions)

Summary of Area/Department Focus:

* To provide profitable, effective and compliant Pension Liability Advice to members of Defined Benefit Salary schemes.
* To provide profitable, effective and compliant whole of market financial planning advice and ongoing servicing to new pension transfer clients and legacy client bank.
* To identify and develop new business opportunities from new Pension Liability Members, existing clients, introducers, referrals and achieving agreed revenue targets
* To conduct in accordance with the FCA's Statement of Principles and Code of Practice for Approved Persons.
* To promote and provide a comprehensive and compliant service to existing clients
* To act and deliver in accordance with the TCF principles at all times.

Summary of Job Purpose:

* To provide cost efficient, effective and compliant whole of market/focused financial planning advice to Pension Liability members, legacy client bank and new clients.
* To identify and develop new business opportunities from existing clients, introducers and referrals to achieve agreed activity targets.
* To conduct yourself accordance with the FCA's Statement of Principles and Code of Practice for Approved Persons
* To promote and provide a comprehensive and compliant service to new and existing clients

Planning & Reporting:
Planning diary is imperative to balance time between meeting clients, generating income, proactive prospecting and personal development.
Reporting weekly and monthly as per the requirements of your management team.

External Relationships:
As agreed on an introducer by introducer basis

Internal Relationships:
Liaise daily/weekly with Business Service Centre, Paraplanning, Compliance and Client Liaison to ensure client activity and work is progressing. Liaise and engage with both T&C Manager and Line Manager as often as required to meet supervisory and development requirements.

Risk Management
Ensure that all regulated work is carried out in accordance with compliance framework and proposition tools. Ensure that advise is professional, compliant and free of errors.
It is expected that candidates will hold a Pension Transfer Specialist Qualification or will be committed to obtain the relevant qualification with 12 months of joining

Treating Customers Fairly:
The jobholder will adhere to TCF principles at all times. Will be personally responsible for delivering TCF to existing clients, demonstrated through no complaints, good file quality and achievement of TCF objective.

Key Accountabilities:

1. To ensure all targets are met and work is completed in a compliant manner and meets the company's quality standards.
2. To field inbound calls and emails requesting advice from Strategic Partner relationships,
3. To maintain the appropriate level of CPD.
4. To work in a team environment.

Job Requirements

Skills:

Strong Communication skills; Verbal, Non Verbal and Written

• Strong Time Management and Negotiation Skills

• Strong application of Technical skill in regulated planning

Knowledge:

Pension Transfer Experience

• Technical and Product Knowledge

• Sound Operating Knowledge of IT Systems and Packages

Experience:

Research, analysis and interpretation, file preparation and report writing.

• Strong written and verbal communication skill.

• Ability to work largely unsupervised, but to contribute and participate in team goals/objectives.

• Regulated sales experience.

• Client management experience.

• Experienced in working with professional introducers.

Qualifications:

Achievement of QCA Level 4 Minimum - Essential.

• AF7 or Equivalent Qualification or be working towards within 12 months of joining.

• Working toward QCA Level 6 - Desired.
