Business Development Manager, Education software solutions

Up to £40k base plus £4k car allowance plus commission

Home based (Midlands)

We are looking for 2 individuals with a proven track record of field sales delivery to help grow our market share in the North and Midlands.; Our uncapped earnings and generous basic salary reflects our commitment to recruiting a winning team.

The New Sites Sales Team are responsible for direct sales of our product and service propositions to Schools and MATs who currently don't use our management Information System. Working closely with Marketing, the team is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing pipeline, closing and maximising sales to meet defined sales targets and developing our reputation as the partner of choice for MIS related products and services in the education sector.

Role Responsibilities:
  • The New Site BDM is a field role responsible for meeting monthly/annual sales targets.
  • Developing a territory plan that demonstrates a clear strategy on how the sales target will be achieved meeting minimum annual transaction targets through creative thinking
  • Responsible for managing own database and making outbound calls with the objective of selling and promoting our software, services and 3rd Parties to a specific region within the UK.
  • Developing a credible pipeline that is three/four times territory target to ensure transaction target achievement.
  • Achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as set out by your line manager and demonstrate an understanding of how you will achieve these
  • Manage your Territory to maximize revenue from the schools within your region.

Your experience will include:
  • Proven successful field sales experience, ideally including sales of value-added IT solutions
  • Proven sales territory planning skills and experience
  • Proven track record of generating leads and hitting targets set
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
