We are currently working with a fast growing client based in Ipswich Recruiting for a HR Assistant

Job Title - Hr Assistant

Hours - 9am - 5pm Mon - Fri

Salary - £16,000 - £18,000 per annum

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Process Factory Staff's Weekly Wages
  2. Check daily Clock Ins and Outs on ZEUS time recording system
  3. Record sickness absence on ZEUS and Holiday & Absence spreadsheets.
  4. Collect and enter Factory Bonus Sheets on to spreadsheets
  5. Input Holiday Forms on to ZEUS
  6. Filing, scanning and archiving documentation
  7. Deal with requests received from the HR Manager and Directors

Potential for you to move up into HR after a year if proven - including
  1. Checking Right to Work documentation
  2. Generating packs for New Starters and setting them up on ZEUS
  3. Monitoring and determining when Contracts of Employment and Training Plans need to be issued to New Starters
  4. Monitoring and determining when Pay Increases need to be implemented (to meet Statutory requirements, e.g. the National Living/Minimum Wage)
  5. Recording monthly sickness absence and reporting information to the Management
  6. Updating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets
  7. Updating current and drafting new Company Policies & Procedures
  8. Attending meetings, taking notes and recording any points for onward notification to Management and subsequent action required
  9. Issuing Warning letters to staff
  10. Filing documentation relating to all employees, both past and present (to ensure compliance with the GDPR)
  11. Filing Health & Safety documentation and ensuring this is kept up to date
  12. Providing information for the Annual Audit

Requirements (Essential)
  • previous payroll experience desired
  • Keen, motivated and willing to learn
