We are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join the team at our headquarters in Edinburgh.

This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role with an immediate start, providing general financial services across the group.

The Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to work within link Group's Finance Department. This is a key post within the Finance team and will play a major role in the delivery and development of financial services across the group.

The Assistant Accountant will manage and develop finance systems and will provide financial services to the organisation regarding supporting work carried out by a team of accountants with responsibility for Link's subsidiary companies.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the production of management accounts, including the production of monthly trial balance reports and updating reporting models; assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts and budget models and producing reports as requested, analysing large data sets into a format easily interpreted by non-financial managers.

This role requires a motivated individual who has proven reconciliation experience with accomplished time management skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision to achieve deadlines.

You will need:

Proven experience of accounts analysis and reconciliation

Experience of using financial systems

Experience of dealing with high volumes of financial data

Advanced user of Microsoft Excel

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Package: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Fixed Term to 31 August 2020

Salary: £27,138 to £34,388 Per Annum (dependent on skills and experience)
