AWE are currently recruiting for a Specialist Electrical Training Coordinator

This role will be to advise the Safety Engineering Manager on Company Policy for the training of Suitably Qualified & Experienced Persons for membership of the Electrical Safety Organisation. Create, establish, maintain and audit Electrical Safety Training courses and establish and maintain an advisory body to provide guidance and direction of Electrical Safety Training Courses.

You will be required to:
  • Ensure compliance with Industry best practice in training of Electrical Safety Organisation appointees.
  • Create and report on appropriate metrics.
  • Audit and report on the appropriateness and efficiency of all aspects of Electrical Safety Training.
  • Measure training performance (using internal and external benchmarks) and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Provide professional engineering advice on engineering safety as required.
  • Regularly review engineering abnormal events and incidents and disseminate any learning or information as required.
  • Maintain communication between training activities across the company.
  • The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:
  • ONC/OND in Electrical Engineering or related Level 3 certificate from Electrical Specialist body
  • Extensive knowledge of LV and HV distribution systems
  • Delivery of Specialist Electrical Courses
  • Extensive knowledge of Electrical Legislation, regulations and standards and their implementation.
  • Knowledge of electronic control and power systems

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role ( and be willing and able to work in designated areas - if applicable)
