About the job

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our UK coating services business at our Lincoln Plant. The Engineering Manager would be responsible for the supervision of a team of Engineers as well as the coordination of engineering projects, processes, methods and procedures to improve operating performance.

Core Duties
  • Project management and deployment of new processes and new product introduction, including production validations
  • Maintain approvals and processes for current products and investigate any non-conformance and incidents
  • Interrogate MVA and plant financial data to understand profitability of work streams
  • Identify and mitigate risks to production through robust process and equipment management
  • Lead, motivate and coordinate the engineering team
  • Recruit, retain and develop talent
  • Provide training on new methods

About you

We are looking for someone who can 'hit the ground running' and make an impact, leading the engineering team in the implementation and improvement of quality processes and operational performance. You will have a proven record in driving change and improvement within an organisation and have the ability to manage data-driven projects including root-cause analysis and LEAN Process Improvement. You will be qualified in a degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline and have experience in managing a team. Effective project management is an area you thrive in, to be able to meet both internal and external customer driven timescales and deadlines. You will have energy and a drive for results whilst maintaining a steadfast attention to detail in Safety and Quality. You will be highly proficient in Microsoft based systems - Word, Excel, Power point. Previous metallographic laboratory experience and experience in coating/materials/aerospace is desirable.
