Job Description

About the RoleSafety is one of our top priorities at Uber. The team sets the strategy and drives innovation across the business to raise the bar on safety in private hire and build public trust in the safety of our platform. If you love a challenge and are excited about working on a mission critical function, we have the opportunity you've been looking for.As part of the UKI Safety Team, responsible for ensuring the safety of both our drivers and riders, you will engage with a number of functions across the business - policy, communications, product, marketing, legal and customer support. You will help to develop internal policies and procedures that inform incident prevention, investigation, treatment and accountability; liaise with our various rider and driver support teams; and support the launch of new safety features in our apps.

What You'll DoRaise the bar on safety for our riders and drivers, by bringing in new ideas and best practice from other similar industries with the aim of improving trust in Ubers commitment to safety Analyse trends in safety data and come up with solutions that reduce incidents through education and proactive processesHelp launch new safety products in the UKI and contribute to product development requestsSupport our compliance to licensing regulations in the field of safetySupport our legal and policy teams with safety related data and insightsWhat You'll Need5 years plus experience for a service provider or tech company or Management consulting (operations, strategy or digital) experience with a strong interest in developing a career in the safety areaTrack record of being a respected operational problem solverA keen interest in safety and bringing in best practices from other industries to UberData driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentationDemonstrated experience interpreting and presenting data to various audiences; ability to translate quantitative findings into action plansVery strong communication and organization skillsExperience managing projects with cross-functional stakeholders and great stakeholder managementJob SummaryLocation: GB-LondonDepartment: Operations & Launch - City Operations
