Job Title: Vatting Team Leader (Weekend Shift - Fri, Sat and Sun)Local Grade: 8Global Grade: Reports to: Vatting Operations ManagerLocation: KilmalidDepartment: Spirit SupplyMain Purpose of JOBTo effectively manage and lead a team of operators to deliver the Cell and Business KPI's (Safety,Quality,Delivery,Cost, Engagement)Key AccountabilitiesGenericComplicanceEnsure all aspects of regulatory and company compliance is adhered to.(Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, HMRC, SSOW and SOT's)QualitySupport investigation of Quality Holds, Customer Complaints and downward AQL trends, using CI Lites identify root cause and implement effective corrective actions.ProductionManage the daily operations for a designated area and ensure all KPI's are achieved (Safety, Quality, OEE, Delivery and Engagment). Respond to issues and implement practical corrective actions. Where required escalate to the Cell for furrther support. Continuous ImprovmentSupport all Focusses Improvement activity. Take ownership for the performance of a designated area. Proactively investigate and identify issues and areas of improvement. Use team to develop effective and sustainable solutions. 5 People Train, develop, and empower a team of between 10 and 20 operators, utilising SOT's and OPL's and the Operator One to One process to drive ongoing personal and team development.6 Projects To perform key roles in the successful delivery of business projects (New products, Value Engineering, FIG, Quality, ExCell Stream)Spirit SupplySupport management to deliver operational change Ensure working capacity of Spirit is managed effeciently by liasing with other functions to ensure spirit is delivered RFT and OTIF. Manage all spirit transfers in accordance with strict regulatory requiremnets Ensure effective implementation of risk assesments and SSOW Liaise with engineering function to ensure efficient daily operation of plantKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceThis section is to define/qualify the expertise/capability which is ESSENTIAL to meet job demands.Business KnowledgeThe role requires management experience within a FMCG environment.Essential Functional / Technical Skills Degree or equivalent qualification / experience in Business/ Engineering or Science discipline. A knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and subsequent practical experience. IOSH Managing SafelyPersonal Attributes / CompetenciesCapability to lead teams in a 'lean manufacturing' environment.Ability to train and coach operators Must demonstrate a quality and customer focused approach to problem-solving and decision making.Must be committed to continuous improvement.
