As a member of the AXA UK
transversal regulatory function, you will be responsible for supporting the Data
Protection strategy in line with AXA UK Data Protection requirements for the regulated
activities across AXA Insurance businesses providing advice and guidance.

role is to ensure effective day to day data protection activity within AXA Insurance
complies with immediate ICO requirements, specifically DSARs, DPIAs &
Incident/Breach timeframes.

Protection - AXA UK and AXA Group Strategy & Risk ReductionProvide
support to the AXA Insurance DPO in the maintenance of programmes which
adequately and proactively reduce data protection regulatory risk, in collaboration
and in a consistent manner with AXA UK and AXA Group requirements. Provide
input into transversal and OpCo related projectAs
a Senior Member of the AXA Insurance Data Protection team, proactively mitigate
risk whilst reasonably considering overall business strategies.

and Process change and Client Reviews

As a Senior Member of the
AXA Insurance Data Protection team, provide support, in conjunction with the
AXA Insurance DPO to ensure Data Protection reviews are undertaken of project
and process change activity including Data Protection due diligence of third
parties, highlighting key risks & proposing solutions where appropriate to
mitigate risk, as and when appropriate.

Data Protection Strategy & Policy

awareness of new and existing privacy policies, changes and pending changes
within the external environment working in conjunction with the transversal
privacy team, assessing and advising the business where necessary.

DPM accountabilities

OpCo DPO to ensure that Privacy Impact Assessments are completed satisfactorily
by the business and IT and approved or commented on by the DPO in good time as
with the Compliance Monitoring team manager regarding the identification of
areas to be monitored.Support
OpCo to ensure that Requests from Customers and staff to exercise their rights
are dealt with correctly in accordance with the latest ICO guidance and within
regulatory timeframes by ensuring liaison with relevant business areas, HR and
Group Legal as appropriate.Support
OpCo to ensure that demands from the police and other external bodies for
information are dealt with appropriately. Support
OpCo DPO to ensure preparation and presentation of Data Protection Reports and
MI to the local governance committees, ie Board Risk CommitteeSupport
OpCo to ensure information to the AXA UK Data Protection Officer for the
purpose of reporting to the UK Board and Management Committees.

Liaison with the ICO

annual Registrations to the ICO are maintained and paid for each year. Act as
the ICO point of contact for complaint investigations, investigate and respond
to the ICO in any such cases in relation to AXA Insurance.

OpCo when addressing data events & incidents to determine the strategy in
accordance with existing breach policy & processes
Qualifications Education:

BCS certificate in Data Protection, or equivalentDegree level education or equivalent professional


Able to work autonomously to achieve objectivesAbe to work as part of an OpCo & wider transversal
teamAble to achieve consensus on the 'best' approach to
provide regulatory compliance in the circumstances with major stakeholders
- Solution drivenHave a good understanding of Data Protection issuesHave strong planning & organising skills Ability to act calmly, rationally and proportionately
in dealing with significant and/or potentially reputation damaging Data
Protection issuesGood understanding of Financial Services business and
health and well-being business and the Data Protection issues they faceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills at
all levels, ability to build strong relationships.Ability to present legal requirements and other information
concisely and to clearly identify key issues at senior management level Ability to take a pragmatic approach to compliance
with regulation and a risk based view of issues and areas of
non-compliance with policy or best practice.Ability to communicate in a concise and effective


Good Data Protection management experienceExperience in the
performance management and development of teamsA recognised authority in Data Protection and its
application within organisationsGood Data
Protection experience in a large commercial group of organisations.Track record of
collaboration and re-use of solutions in large organisations Strong commercial
knowledge; ability to understand & integrate business & Data
Protection strategies.
