Role ResponsibilityThis is a permanent role within our Bristol Casualty team. The purpose of this role is both as a supervisor to 3-4 junior members of the team and to run a caseload of predominantly EL and PL casualty claims which range in complexity from Fast Track and Multi Track levels.Day to day responsibilities will include:Running a varied caseload of litigated work with the appropriate levels of supervision. These will include cases where liability is disputed.Supervision of a team of junior members of staff.Achieve a minimum budgeted annual target of 1440 chargeable hours per year.Hit, maintain and apply a consistent approach to all individual targets of financial performance, realisation rates, settlement rate and average claim spendSupport marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. attending marketing events and client trainingAssume responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on own caseload and those of your supervisees, including accuracy and timeliness of management reporting and information.Maintain an awareness of firm's procedures and strategiesMaintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publicationsHandling confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocolsThe Ideal CandidateA solicitor, legal executive with experience of running a case load of EL claims for 3- 4 years is essential.Previous supervisory experience.A keen interest and enthusiasm for injury work and the demands of our clientsAble to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues with a concern for quality of serviceA confident communicator who can communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written formExcellent organisational skills and able to effectively prioritise and manage own workloadDetail conscious and able to produce work to a high standard
