The knowledge to gain is vast, as is the potential of our organization to continue growing.As Accounting Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management and supervision of the accounting team based in London, reporting directly to the Regional Financial Controller.We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?You'll spend time on the following:Reporting into the Accounting Senior Manager you will be responsible for coaching and leading a team of direct reportsYou will supervise monthly close and ongoing accounting related tasksYou will review high risk/confidential balance sheet reconciliations and approve monthly accounting entries prepared by the teamYou will review monthly reconciliations under US GAAP and be responsible for SOX complianceYou will undertake variance analysis of monthly and quarterly financial performanceYou will be required to liaise with external and internal auditorsYou will support the accounting team and partner with various stakeholders, alongside supporting the business with ad-hoc projectsYou will lead process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies in the close processProviding support and coaching to the wider accounting teamAny other ad hoc duties that may be required for effective performance within the roleWe're excited about you if you have:Degree in accounting & finance (preferred but not essential)3-5 years post qualified and ACCA/ACA certification required Sound understanding of US GAAP & IFRS6-8+ years of overall accounting experienceBig 4 experience is requiredYou're comfortable with MS Office, with advanced Excel skillsWorking knowledge of NetSuite accounting system a plusYou're a details person with a penchant for preparing meticulously accurate workYou're curious, enthusiastic, adaptable in a fast paced environment, and see challenges as an opportunity to growPrevious experience in supervising or managing a teamThe ability to work under pressure and manage/meet strict and multiple deadlines simultaneouslyGroupon's purpose is to build strong communities through thriving small businesses.
