Position Title: Demand Management SpecialistJob Location: Loughborough, UK or Illkirch, France Position Summary:Collect and analyze the input from Sales, Product Portfolio & Marketing to build the demand forecast.The objective of this role is to better anticipate demand variation in order to build an optimized and "Right 1st time" Supply Chain solution (appropriate sourcing model and inventory level) to meet Sales & Marketing targets within Financial constraints (inventory level and inventory reserve - D&E).This position requires cross functional participation, alignment and decision making (consensus on Sales and Marketing, Operations, Finance, Product Management and Supply Chain). Scope is RSD Europe.Key Responsibilities:Partner with the Marketing, Product Management and Sales teams as preferred contact point within the Planning & Purchasing organization, to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume forecast (mid and long term); ensure gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.Lead and support the build of SiOP for European and Local product events (Campaigns, Promotions, Tenders, Quotes and New product introductions, Specific customer agreement - Core List) to ensure right inventory in right place at right time, whilst maximizing customer service and minimizing D&E risks.Translate Sales, Product & Marketing inputs into future demand and work with the Planning Team to integrate these inputs into the monthly inventory plan.Implement metrics to monitor actual supply chain performance (fill rate, PTO, OTS) with regards these events and to coordinate get well plan within Supply Chain when required.Prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented, guide final decision making on open items and trade-offs, and prepare escalations for management review where appropriate.Keep up to date the SOP agreed with Portfolio Management, Sales & Marketing.Associated KPI:Forecast accuracyFill rate of managed events (NPI, Promotion, Customers' core List).Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Relevant and demonstrable experience in SIOP / demand management or a similar cross functional leadership role.Commercial, Product and Marketing knowledge and acumen.Demonstrable leadership experience in a matrix environment (leading cross functional projects and ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects simultaneously.)Experience with making decisions based on data and analysis (Strong analytical background and advanced user of MS Acess, Excel).Experience of DRP/MRP, Supply Chain Management principles, Master data management.Fluent in English.At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
