Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced Business Development Managers (BDM) who possess a unique balance of business expertise, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) depth, and strong interpersonal skills. This role will focus on supporting customers across industries who desire to use AI/ML to enhance their business or operational outcomes.Your broad responsibilities include: owning the business approach and ultimate success around specific AI/ML projects. You should be as comfortable discussing complex business concepts with cross-functional groups which can include business executives, line managers, data scientists, and IT operations resources. In addition, you will engage with other AWS service teams, solutions architects, business development, marketing, partners and regional professional services organizations to drive large and highly complex sales opportunities to closure and through delivery.You will partner with customers, AWS Sales, and AWS service teams to craft industry programs that will serve the needs of the customer, and extend that use to other customers within the industry. You will evangelize AWS AI/ML with other customers and help drive revenue growth across a broad set of industry-specific use cases. As a trusted customer advocate, the ML BDM will create best practices around AI/ML team structure, project approaches, and business measurement. You will enjoy keeping your existing business and AI/ML skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep business discussions.RESPONSIBILITIES· Ensure customer success in ideating and launching AI/ML on the AWS platform· Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS AI/ML and participate in deep business discussions to ensure solutions are designed to capture business value and drive the intended success metrics· Conduct workshop sessions to identify AI/ML opportunities with our customers considering or already using AWS· Capture and operationalize best-practice knowledge for enterprises that wish to drive machine learning more holistically (e.g., deploying a customer center of excellence)· Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers· Build deep relationships with senior individuals within customers to enable them to be AI/ML advocates· Act as a business liaison between customers, services, data scientists and supportBasic qualifications· Substantial progressive experience as management consultant, ML practitioner or ML delivery lead· Business or Technical degree required;· Business - MBA highly desired· Technical - Math background highly desiredPreferred qualification · Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences· Strong written communication skills· High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations· Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly· Experience in management consulting· Experience launching AI/ML programs· Participated in the product management and marketing lifecycles (directly or indirectly)· Created industry-specific thought leadership· Participated in the sales lifecycle (directly or indirectly)
