Are you looking for a role where you have the opportunity to develop and be accountable for a number of large contracts across a new site? If so, then this could be the role for you!We have an exciting new position for a Service Delivery Manager - Facilities to join our team, to be based out of our new Cambridge site.Working within our Engineering team, you will be responsible for the service delivery of outsourced activities at our Cambridge site which will include Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and Lab maintenance contracts. In addition to this, you will also be the initial point of contact for local project works across the Lonza estate.In this role, you will be working independently from your line manager, and will have the ability to make decisions within the site. You will also be on call to provide advice if required in the event of outages and emergencies and is a key role within the site operation.This role is based in our Cambridge site, but will require travel occasional travel to our Slough site.Key Responsibilities - Service Delivery ManagerResponsibility for the day to day management of the IFM and Lab Services contract and monitoring and measurement of the delivery performance of the contractsProviding technical assurance to Facilities Manager and stakeholders and providing technical advice on delivery of the IFM and Lab Services contract in relation to all aspects of maintenance, repairs, improvements and standards including providing advice and support during unsocial hoursResponsibility for managing the delivery by contractors of statutory and mandatory requirements for maintenance and a planned maintenance programme for the buildings, plant, equipment and condition surveys of assetsEnsuring all risks and issues are addressed to resolve or are escalated and logged as per agreed risk management strategy.Checking that permits to work are issued in accordance with SOP, contractual and statutory requirements.Agreeing schedules for short and medium term planning for site and maintenance work with the contractors, ensuring immediate requests for maintenance and repair activity (which may threaten physical security) or accommodation availability are prioritisedAccountability for regularly reviewing maintenance progress by contract service providers, liaising with Slough planning teamManaging delegated budgets in compliance with the Finance, Procurement and Materials Management policies including monitoring financial position against budget and taking action to remain within budget.Ensuring the TFM and Lab Services contract delivers within the approved budgetary and financial limits and that procured goods and services represent value for moneyEnsuring risk assessments are undertaken by contractor and that contractor staff are made aware of their personal responsibility towards Health and Safety compliance.Skills and experienced requiredHND in Engineering, or equivalent working experienceFacilities management background, either working within a third party contracting environment, or managing third party contracts.Experience working within manufacturing/biotech/pharma advantageousAn awareness of engineering techniques, able to confidently deal with contractors/third parties within engineeringStrong stakeholder management experience , able to deal with third parties effectively and manage the contracts as appropriateStrong communication skills, keen eye for detailAble to work independently, and remotely from other members of your teamIf this is something you're interested in, please apply ASAP!"We welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible working (including Part Time and Job Share).
