A hands on instrumentation maintenance supervisor is required for my specialist processing manufacturing plant client to supervise the maintenance team and support the maintenance manager at their production facilities based near Basingstoke, Hampshire. This supervisory role would suit an experienced plant service and maintenance management professional with a good Instrumentation Maintenance or Electrical Maintenance background and qualifications (I & E) within the large production plant / process plant industries. This role would suit maintenance technicians with instrumentation qualifications and instrumentation experience or electrical experience (I&E Engineers) with some team management experience looking for the next stage in their maintenance career or a maintenance supervisor looking for a new challenge. The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 07.30 am until 16.30pm and although not shift work there maybe a requirement to work some weekends, evening and bank holiday work to provide cover.

Supporting the Maintenance Manager with the day to day running of the maintenance department, the ideal instrumentation maintenance / E&I maintenance supervisor candidate will have the following skills and experience;

* Relevant maintenance supervisory experience / good experience of managing a maintenance team or maintenance plant supervision

* Hands on maintenance experience on equipment related to installed instrumentation and / or electrical equipment

* Electrical qualifications or Instrument qualifications (apprenticeship trained, NVQ level 3, ONC in Electrical, Electrical or Instrument & Control Engineering) with a good working knowledge in electrical, instrumentation, instrumentation control

* A good understanding of the workings of the Plant, Production, large production process plant or high risk industry or similar (chemical process plant, water, energy, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, high pressure lines)

* Ability to take overall responsibility for the carrying out of routine and non-routine maintenance tasks and the maintenance team and site

* Good experience of maintaining a safe working environment in line with health and safety compliance and legislation- Maintaining of all site services in good working order and applicable to safe working practices
