We are currently looking to employ an Assistant Line Manager to work in a busy and demanding Manufacturing Department while working towards a fully funded Master's Degree in Leadership in Practice in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University.

The role will be based around supporting the Line Manager in their day to day duties and will include first line people and team management, production planning and organisation, equipment and tool checks, line improvements and working with other departments to ensure targets are met.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is wanting to take ownership of a large area of a business, wants exposure to an array of experience, is ambitious to move into more senior positions within the coming years, gets satisfaction from seeing work being completed and is willing to put in the work to ensure the business needs are met.

The usual entry requirements for the course are GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics and English Language at Grade C or grade 4 or above - plus the following:
  • equivalent of an honours degree at 2:2 level or above (no specific subject); and

Applicants who do not meet the above academic criteria but have sufficient relevant experience in the workplace will be considered on an individual basis. Although previous management/leadership experience is desirable, this can be at any level, we are really looking for the right candidate with the right attitude to succeed. You must also be prepared to complete a very demanding academic course and have the determination to see it through.

Our normal factory hours are from 07:30-16:00, however candidates should be willing to work overtime to meet the Company's needs, including Saturday mornings if required.
