Software Consultant role offering a fantastic opportunity develop the next generation of products inside a successful SME.

An excellent opportunity for Software Consultant who enjoy working closely with other technical teams to create a modern and progressive line of products. Due to continuous growth a Software Consultant is needed to join the expanding Cyber Software Engineering team, enhance the capability in this area and assist with the next generation of products.

They can offer you the opportunity to work cross domains in order to develop your skills across different areas of the business. This may involve the learning new programming languages, technologies, methodologies and standards to ensure keep at the cutting edge of software development.

In particular for this role you will be trained and use a range of different technologies such as; C++, C#, Python, Java and C programming languages.
Tools such as Jira, Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, MediaWiki, DOORS and Enterprise Architect.
Operating systems of choice are Linux, Windows and Greenhills Integrity.

- Influencing, directing & managing change which is intra, or inter-discipline, from conception through to delivery.
- Writing & reviewing technical bids & proposals both internally & externally to win work or business confidence.
- Supporting challenging projects by influencing & taking corrective action where necessary to improve delivery outcomes.
- Implementing, leveraging, understanding, and keeping pace with, developments in tooling, technologies & best practice.
- Leading, mentoring, supporting and developing small cross discipline project teams (3-5 engineers) and junior staff members to achieve project delivery.
- Deep understanding of, and broad experience applying different software development methodologies throughout the life-cycle of a project/product.
- Understand of how best to leverage UML/SysML to model and design complex software solutions which are distributed, interacting with FPGAs and processors.
- Application of design patterns to solve problems in-line with best-practice.
- Use, debugging, design, implementation and test of network devices.


Due to the nature of the work at this site, applicants must be capable of achieving SC level UK security clearance. Current clearance is not a requirement.
